Supplemental Learning Opportunities
Speakers and Lectures
Over a dozen leaders in fields including Medicine, Public Health and Education will give lectures, sit on panels and personally guide student groups through their final projects
Medical School Experience
Students meet, enjoy lunch with and are given a tour of Northwestern’s Medical school, led by Northwestern’s Student National Medical Assocation (SNMA) students. Students are given College and Medical School preparation materials created and curated by current medical students.
Poster Session
Students share their group PSAs and present individual posters of their health improvement interventions to their families as well as faculty and staff from Northwestern, Lurie Children’s, CPS, and the department of public health.
Lurie and NU faculty serve as “judges” for the poster session and PSAs and will be giving prizes to students with the top projects
Northwestern, Lurie Children's, and Chicago Public Schools representatives will be speaking with the students and sending them off with some words of inspiration after completing the program
